Welcome to the Watagan Wanderers Bushwalking Club
The Watagan Wanderers Bushwalking Club runs day walks every week on Wednesday and Saturday (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day) in a broad area including: Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, the lower Hunter Valley, the Central Coast and Sydney. Our day walks vary from Grade 2 (easy) through to Grade 5 (difficult and off-track).
In addition, we run a number of other outdoor activities, including abseiling/canyoning, cycling, kayaking/paddling, multi-day pack walks, car-camps, and snow-shoe walks. We are fully insured for public liability and personal accident through our affiliation with Bushwalking NSW.
Non- members may trial walking with us for up to three occasions before joining. This link will take you to instructions on how to join as either a temporary member(free) or a full member ($40.00 per year): How to Join Watagan Wanderers Bushwalking Club
We run a monthly Club night, on the third Thursday of each month, 7:30pm at the new Landcare and Sustainability Centre, Teralba (from January 2024), and occasional social activities.
